Jukdo Market is the biggest fish market in the East Sea where visitors have affordable access to various sea foods. Raw fish soup that comes with seasonal sea food is available along with seasonal snow crab, stone octopus, guamegi(half-dried herring). In the market, fish selling deck at Fisheries Cooperatives and over 200 raw fish restaurants are available, allowing visitors to enjoy fresh raw fish anytime. Jukdo is a large-scale traditional market where fresh sea food as well as dried stock fish and agricultural products are available. Upon the section, specialized alley such as Raw Fish Alley, Guamegi Alley, Dried Fish Alley, Agricultural Alley, Plates Alley and Quilt Alley are enjoyable.

At Dongaksan Mountain in Janggi-myeon lies eastern mountain range while Janggi Stream under the range runs through the East Sea, forming the field. Hyanggyo was restored by residents in the local community and maintained, while fortress wall is under reconstruction. The area of Janggi-myeon is famous as the place of Yubae where over 100 scholars under Joseon Dynasty were expelled from the capital and stationed. In fact, prestigious scholars like Song siyeol and Jeong Yakyong endured the time of agony here. The scholars, against all odds, explored books, wrote poems and books and educated local scholars, building a unique Yubae culture. Such background contributed to creating Yubae Experience Village.
The rail running the city of Pohang for 100 years is reborn as the urban forest for people to enjoy Between Hyoja Station at Nam-gu where the train used to run for 100 years and the former Pohang Station lies 4.3 km path. The myth is where Yeono living at East Sea under the fourth year of 8th King A dalla of Silla and married couple Seo went to Japan. Subsequently the sun and moon of Silla lost its light. However, as the silk that Seo made in Japan and sent was used for the ancestral ceremony, the light came back. Based on the story, the story wall at coastline in the East Sea started to be built along with culture facilities such as Gwiibigo, Korean Garden, Banggi Pond, Ilwoldae overlooking Yeongil Bay, Turtle Rock Yeonorang Seonyeo seemed to take, Silla Village in thatched-roof house and steel-made art of works and various park.
Canal running the water of life in the middle of city offering leisure and tour experience Along the water way of the Canal runs Pohang Cruise all the time. Visitors can enjoy various forms of green land and take a nice walk. Pohang Canal is 1.3km long. The Canal itself is not that long, but when connected to the sea, visitors can enjoy 8-10 km long of trip of water way. During the construction of Pohang Canal, the old water path and ecological environment was restored and reborn as a park and tourist attractions. Pohang Canal offers a unique opportunity to get on the ferry and enjoy water way tour along the cozy water way running inside the city. So-called Nangman or romantic trip along the water way comes alive. Course B runs 6 km and takes 30 minutes while Course A, taking a big turn, runs 8 km and takes 40 minutes. Depending on the sea climate, the course can differ. In a nice weather, visitors can reach the front sea of Pohang. The service is available from 10 a.m. until sunset.
The night of Pohang is more majestic than the day. Yeongil Bay Beach overlooks POSCO and Yeogil Bay. The Beach is famous for its fine sand and long shore, serving as the landmark beach at Pohang. The Temple in mystery with one thousand year of Silla Kingdom history offers distinctly unique scenery. Oeosa Temple, located at Unjesan Mountain southern Pohang downtown, holds one thousand year of Silla history. Oeosa Temple faces mountain area on three sides and reservoir Oeoji on one side, providing uniquely authentic view. The temple was built under King Jinpyeong, the 26th King of Silla. At the time, the temple was called Hangsasa. Afterwards, Monk Wonhyo and Hyegong practiced asceticism and betted each other to make the dead fish on the brook bounce back. Among the fish, one came back alive while the other remained dead and the two monks respectively argued ‘I am the one who made the fish find a new life.” Such tale of Monk Wonhyo led to a new name Oeosa. Unjesan, 480m long, is famous for colorful foliage and climbing area during fall. 3 Walking Courses are available as each course is 3-4km taking 2 hours one way reaching Unjesan Observatory.

Homigot used to hold Millenium Sunrise Celebratory Event, allowing visitors to enjoy sunrise every morning. Homigot, located at the easternmost of the Korean Peninsula, literally means the tail of tiger and meets sunrise faster than any other city, serving as the first sunrise landmark in Korea. During the 16th century of Joseon Dynasty under King Myeongjong, Gyeokam, a geographer, passed through the area and described it as the tail of tiger geographically and the grand landmark. Yookdang Choi Namseon described the Korean Peninsula as tiger of Baekdoosan mountain scratching Maritime Province and named Homigot as the Top 10 Beauty of Joseon. Since 1908, Homigot Lighthouse as one of the biggest lighthouses shining the front sea of Yeongil Bay has been in existence with observatory letting visitors enjoy bird’s eye view on coast lines surrounding Homigot.
